Since taking over KS Baling in October 2024, David Lye has been building on the company’s trusted 20-year legacy with a clear vision for the future. With over 35 years’ experience in engineering and more than a decade spent working specifically in the waste and recycling sector, David brings specialist knowledge in areas like RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) and SRF (Solid Recovered Fuel) production.

Under David’s leadership, KS Baling is expanding its reputation across the UK as a trusted supplier of high-performance baling and compacting machinery, including the market-leading Orkel compactors.

The business is proudly supported by David’s wife, Kate Lye, who manages the company’s accounts and finances, with precision and care. Her behind-the-scenes work ensures KS Baling runs smoothly and efficiently, allowing David to focus on customer relationships, service innovation, and long-term growth.

The Founding Vision of Keith and Sue Williamson

The strong foundation and driving force behind KS Baling were originally established by Keith Williamson, the company's founder, alongside Sue Williamson. Their belief and dedication were instrumental in shaping the business that David and Kate are now proudly continuing. It is on the bedrock of Keith and Sue's initial vision and hard work that KS Baling grew to become the trusted name it is today.
